Lauren and Michael’s story

By the end of August I finally had the double blue lines show up on the pregnancy test!

After trying to convince for a few years, and worrying something was wrong we went and spoke with our GP who directed us to go to speak to a fertility clinic. Once we had been to nurture for the first time we felt in safe hands and they advised us to start having tests done. Each test came back not showing any problems, however we were still not falling pregnant so we decided to try IVF. The nurture staff guided us through each process and were very supportive.

We started the IVF in July and had our grade A embryo transferred in August. By the end of August I finally had the double blue lines show up on the pregnancy test! We were so lucky that the IVF worked the first time success and we have become parents to our beautiful little girl Orla Pearl born 10 days early on the 24th April 2020 weighing 6lb 2oz. Within the process we paid for the extras to ensure a better chance of it working, this was the endo scratch, and the embryo glue.

The process of the IVF is the most exciting and overwhelming journey for a couple who have been trying to convince for a while. But the Nuture staff are so supportive and helpful throughout, they gave us the most precious gift we could have ever wished for and we are truly grateful. We prayed for a miracle and we got one.
