Kate and Shaun’s Story

Nurture explained the whole process of IVF to us and we had demonstrations on how to do the injections (which aren’t that bad). The staff made us feel welcome and at ease with the whole process.

We came to nurture fertility in 2016 after trying for around 4 years for a baby. In that time I had already had investigations into why we couldn’t conceive and I had been diagnosed with endometriosis. I had a Fallopian tube removed due to it being scarred and filled with fluid. Nurture explained the whole process of IVF to us and we had demonstrations on how to do the injections (which aren’t that bad). The staff made us feel welcome and at ease with the whole process. We then had one round of IVF on the NHS, of which we had a fresh embryo transfer. It unfortunately ended in a chemical pregnancy. We also had 2 embryos frozen from that cycle and after having a hysteroscopy done by nurture and a tissue biopsy I was put on steroid tablets for high NK cells for my  frozen embryo transfer. We had both embryos transferred, and one of them stuck! We are now the very proud parents to our beautiful son Logan, who was born on 10th July 2017. He was definitely worth the wait and brings us so much happiness! We have no embryos left from that round of IVF but will certainly be returning when we are ready to give Logan a brother or sister. We can’t thank nurture enough!
