We know from experience that many couples spend up to two years trying to find out the cause of their infertility, years that are precious in terms of fertility.
The first of its kind in the South East, our Rapid Fertility Assessment speeds up the lengthy process of tests and evaluations by providing a fertility assessment in just a couple of hours.
If you’re trying to have a baby, it’s completely normal to have doubts after a few months without success. It can take up to a year or more to conceive naturally, but if you are worried about your fertility, there is no harm in having an assessment to see if there is anything preventing you from getting pregnant.
Where to Start
If you are worried about your fertility, the first thing to know is that you are not alone. Around one in seven couples in the UK struggle with fertility, and there is plenty of help and support out there. There is a whole range of options to help you on your journey to parenthood, but before exploring these options it’s important to find out why you and your partner are having difficulty conceiving.
Give TFP Nurture Fertility a call on 0115 896 1900 and ask about male/female fertility assessments – we are here to offer advice and reassurance from the very beginning, and can provide all the information you need.
What an Assessment Involves
Infertility has many causes, affecting both males and females; in some cases, it can be a combination of things that prevents a couple from conceiving. If you and your partner are under 35 and are in good health, you might just need a little more time; but if there are factors that might affect your fertility, such as a known health issue, we will discuss these in your assessment.
We will take into account your personal histories, and discuss any previous investigations you have already had. Don’t worry if you have not seen your GP about your fertility – we do not insist on a GP referral here at TFP Nurture Fertility, although it can be helpful if you have a complicated medical history.
There are many reasons why it might be taking longer for you to conceive, but an assessment can help you to find out. You and your partner will undergo a series of tests, including ultrasound, AMH blood test (female only) and sperm analysis for the male partner. We also offer female-only assessments, once all the results are back you will be invited back for a review consultation with our Nurse Manager who will explain your results and what the next steps will be.
We know that trying to have a baby can be an overwhelming time, which is why patient care is a big focus here at TFP Nurture Fertility; we aim to offer comfort and support for couples at every step of the journey. Together with our extensive range of treatments involving the latest techniques, we are able to tailor the right treatment, should you decide this is the road for you.
An assessment gives us the chance to explore options with you, but there is never any obligation to move forward with any treatments – this is an opportunity to find out more and give you some peace of mind if you are worried about your fertility.
